ISM Compact Course
Ensuring Ship Integrity through working Management
Today there is an increasing need for high quality shipping companies. There is a demand for competent crew, adequate maintenance, and smooth operations of the ships avoiding accidents and incidents. This can only be obtained through improved management systems developed by knowledgeable individuals.
In order to meet these needs, DNV has developed this course that combines both an overview to the main elements of the ISM code and also key factors for the successful implementation and typical pitfalls. It is intended both as an introduction for newcomers but also as a refresher. The content of the course is in line with the Guidance for IACS Auditors to the ISM Code, to enhance compliance with the requirements for safety and pollution prevention within shipping companies and on board their vessels.
