Efficient fuel oil management by shipping companies
Fuel oil prices have skyrocketed which causes shipping companies to look for optimisation of their fuel oil purchasing processes and fuel oil consumption. In addition shipping companies are facing different environmental challenges world-wide. This seminar will address relevant principles of efficient Fuel Oil Management and will indicate potential areas for savings on fuel consumption and environmental implications.

Objective
After the course the participants shall have a basic understanding about fuel oil production
and potential risks before and during combustion.
In addition they shall have a clear picture about the challenges in connection with fuel
oil purchasing process, supply to the ship and related quality ensurance.

Target group
The course is intended for sea-going and shorebased technical, operational and administrative
staff functions involving marine fuel oils and diesel engines. It is also of benefit to personnel
concerned with the sale or purchasing of marine fuel oil.
