PARC 2012 @ Square

DNV is pleased to announce the 4th edition of its conference on Process & Asset Risk Management on March 28, 2012. This conference aims at bringing together general managers, safety managers, operations managers, and other persons having key responsibilities in managing process risks & assets.

The conference will take place at SQUARE meeting centre in the very heart of Brussels. Acknowledged safety & risk experts, as well as decision makers from industry and from the authorities will contribute to our plenary program. Some of the themes covered are: Novelties in QRA, Performance forecasting, Knowledge management, Legislation updates, DNV Research & Innovation, Energy Management.

Interactive workshops covering specific domains of interest will be organized in a parallel stream.

The central theme of this year’s edition is:

The Future of Energy Supply

This year’s plenary program is as follows:
  • A new, integrated approach to assure Process Safety Competence in a Seveso company by Prof. Geert Deconinck, KUL
  • Knowledge management in the Nuclear Decommissioning by John Day, Sellafield
  • Performance Forecasting: case studies on the Logistic and Storage Optimization for a Petrochemical Network and on a FLNG Facility by Carlo Buccisano, DNV UK
  • Innovation and joint industry projects: DNV at the forefront of new developments by Lars Sørum, DNV Europe and North Africa
  • Developments in the LNG supply chain by Pim Bonne, Flemish authorities
  • Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area by Jose Anselmo, European Commission DG Transport
  • Security of the energy supply chain by Yolanda Garcia Mezquita, European Commission DG Energy

The parallel program is as follows:
  • Synergi: tools used to manage all non-conformances, incidents, risk analyses, audit assessments and improvement suggestions, covering workflow processes such as reports, management, analyses, corrective actions, communications and knowledge transfer. DNV.
  • Performance Forecasting:tools used to predict asset performance for a given configuration in terms of reliability, availability, maintainability and operability. DNV.
  • MAROS is an advanced tool with extensive features for modeling networks, maintenance, operations, and demand scenarios.
  • TARO was specifically developed for the modeling of refining and petrochemical plants in which the production efficiency is a complex interaction between reliability, blending and yield rules, flow routing (including recycle), and intermediate storage options.
  • BSCAT is a method to manage the incident/accident analysis. This new method represents a tree diagram that consists of events, barriers and causes. The advantage of BSCAT is that it is relatively easy to learn but can still visualize complex incidents with the right level of detail. CGE Risk Management Solutions.
  • AlarmTILT, TeamTILT Pro and TeamTILT:tools which cover 2 major aspects of the communication of incidents and emergencies. The first aspect is the communication itself, that is to say the diffusion of alert messages by text to speech, SMS or emails. The second aspect is the management and real-time monitoring of that communication. M-PLIFY.

DNV has the pleasure to offer you this conference, including lunch, free of charge. Places are limited though, so secure yours today and register here.
