It is therefore logical that enhancing safety for people and organisations is our major focus and is integrated in all our competence standards.
The SCC safety certification is a standard specifically designed around safety.

DNV is offering the SCC personnel certification, authorised by the German U-SKK-SCC for non-dutch employees outside The Netherlands.
(In The Netherlands, the SCC-certification (=VCA) is offered by examination bodies, approved by the Examenkamer).

The certification standards, offered by DNV outside The Netherlands are:

- Basic Elements of Safety SCC (=Sicherheit für Mitarbeiter SCC)
- Safety for Operational Supervisors (SOS-SCC) (=Sicherheit für operativtätige Führungskräfte SCC)

The SCC-certificates issued by DNV are acknowledged by the Dutch SSVV and equivalent to the Dutch VCA-certificates.
